Consolidation of fill material beneath the floor slab is generally not covered by household insurance.
The most obvious signs are dished flooring, a gap between the floor slab and the underside of the skirting board or cracks opening up between the ceiling and walls built off the slab.
The alternative to resin injection involves breaking out the slab, importing and compacting new fill and then reinstating a new slab which often involves a redecoration of the property.
This is measured in weeks as opposed to the resin injection system where entire houses are repaired within one to two days. In most cases the occupier does not have to relocate but can remain in the house during the works.
Small holes are drilled to inject the resin.

For example, a 70m2 floor slab injected directly beneath the slab can be treated within one day causing minimal mess and disruption. Kitchen units and fitted wardrobes etc can remain in place!

A job this week in Lancashire.
Attached is before and after photo’s of an internal wall that was suffering from subsidence. We lifted the wall back up and closed the cracks.
All done in one morning ready to hand over to the plasterer.
